Housewives in polygamous household "too busy to home-school their many children"...

...so the kids are off to public school, says this article in USA Today. Busy doing what, exactly? Laundry?

A quick note on polygamy: according to the article, "Girls are taught that the more senior and polygamous their husband is, the better their and their children's chances are of a happy afterlife." How would you like to go to hell because your 15-year-old mother didn't have sex with an old enough man?

Busy doing what, you ask?

Being victims of sexual abuse and child trafficking.

Doesn't leave much time for homeschooling.

If sexual satisfaction is the main measure of fairness, would that make polygamy where the wives were bisexual fairer (and the only moral form of polygamy)?

xwl: I think the immorality of polygamy largely has to do with its affect on children, not its likelihood to sexually satisfy the wives.

That should have been "effect," not "affect." Why can't you edit your comments?

Elaborate? Do I really have to? It's built upon marrying children off when they're too young to understand that they've been manipulated their entire lives, and it puts all the financial burdon of many families on one man who cannot possibly provide for all the children he's spawned.
