Here's Johnny!
My friend Johnny from Madison is visiting me here this weekend. Don't look, mom, he's wearing shorts:
We got into a heated argument with some cowboy hat wearing guys at a bar last night over whether this or this was the best BBQ in Texas.
Walking around my apartment complex, we found the remains of a swimming pool in my courtyard. Make sure you don't dive into this 8-foot deep mound of dirt and shrubs:
The old poolside chairs are now in chains. Why? In case someone might smuggle them off to an actual swimming pool?
...all in a little place called Su Casa, where the walls are paper thin and the swimming pools are made of mud.

Anyone who thinks the Southside Market is better than the Salt Lick is a dang fool. Smitty's in Lockhart; Kreuz Market in the same; City Market in Luling; Opie's in Spicewood; perhaps. But their downscale, oldfashioned ambience is very different from the Salt Lick's and that's a matter of preference. PS: The Salt Lick is opening a branch in Vegas. I would imagine they'll have some non-barbecue, chichi food in addition, as their second Austin branch does.
